RASAID members are keen to tell the long story about their ongoing efforts to transition their sons and daughters into suitable supported accommodation in the Ryde area before they themselves become too old, too sick or too dead to care for them. All members also hold strong views about the state of disability services across the country. Some are prepared to comment on these issues as well.

RASAID Media Release. STATE GOVERNMENT MAKES RYDE FAMILIES’ DREAMS COME TRUE. After almost seven years of lobbying, attending several hundred meetings that became a rollercoaster of hope and despair, the parents of a group of 20 intellectually disabled adults who live in the Ryde area have been granted their one wish – to have suitable supported accommodation provided for their adult children. 1st June 2011. here
